Spirit Airlines announces new executive appointments

Spirit Airlines, ultra-low-cost airline headquartered in Miramar, Florida, has named two new executives to its leadership team. Matt Klein joins Spirit as the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer effective August 11, 2016 and Rocky Wiggins joins as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer effective September 26, 2016.

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker has recently announced the appointment of 32 members to the Travel and Tourism Advisory Board. The board members represent a broad spectrum of the travel industry, including hotels and restaurants, financial services, transportation services, as well as a variety of small and large firms from across the country. John Sprouls (Universal Parks and Resorts) was named Chair.
