43.4% of all households on Latin America and the Caribbean were connected to the Internet in 2015, nearly doubling the figure from 2010, according to The State of Broadband 2016 report presented at the second meeting of the Conference on Science, Innovation and ICTs. The same day American Airlines announced the appointment of Robert Isom as the airline´s new president replacing Scott Kirby, United Continental Holdings, Inc. (UAL) revealed its own move, saying that Scott Kirby was named president of United Airlines. The move is surprising, as senior executives of major U.S. airlines rarely go from one airline directly to another.

American Airlines Group Inc. (Nasdaq:AAL) today announced that Chief Operating Officer Robert Isom will become president, effective immediately. In his new role, Isom, 52, will report to Chairman and CEO Doug Parker, 54. “Robert is a world-class executive, and extremely well-qualified to assume the role of president,” said Chairman and CEO Doug Parker. Isom succeeds J. Scott Kirby.

Governor Rick Scott announced Florida set another record in tourism by welcoming the highest amount of visitors of any six months in the state’s history with 57.4 million visitors. This record amount represents a 4.3 percent increase over the year. In the second quarter of 2016, 27.3 million visitors came to the state, an increase of 3.1 percent over the year.
