Negative COVID-19 test required for travel to the United States beginning January 26

The U.S. Department of State and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) remind all travelers that beginning  January 26, all air passengers two years of age or older arriving to the United States must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test or proof of recovery from COVID-19 before boarding. This order applies to both foreign nationals and U.S. citizens. Updated information.



Eastern began flights Miami-Asuncion

On January 5, Eastern Airlines began two weekly nonstop passenger flights between Asuncion and Miami International Airport, adding new direct service to Paraguay’s capital city of half a million people.  In addition to the two weekly Asuncion flights, Eastern currently operates charter flights four times a week to Guayaquil (Ecuador), twice weekly to Montevideo (Uruguay) and once weekly to Guatemala City (Guatemala). Eastern was one of the first airlines to resume service at MIA with repatriation flights during the pandemic.

Visit Orlando hires new President and CEO

Visit Orlando, which represents 1,200 member companies comprising every segment of Central Florida’s tourism community, announced yesterday the hiring of new President and CEO Casandra Matej to lead the destination marketing organization of one of the most visited destinations in the country, also known as "the theme park capital of the world”. Matej, who assumes her new position on Feb.1, in the last 10 years has been serving as president and CEO of Visit San Antonio.



American Airlines, British Airways and oneworld launch transatlantic COVID-19 testing trial

American Airlines, British Airways and oneworld® have launched an optional coronavirus (COVID-19) medical-based testing trial on select flights from cities in the United States to London Heathrow (LHR), in a combined effort to scientifically demonstrate how COVID-19 testing can reopen international travel and remove the need for passengers to quarantine on arrival.



Delta will continue to block middle seats through March 30, 2021

Delta announced yesterday that it will continue providing more space for customers for flights departing now through March 30, 2021.
