U.S. travel and tourism exports total $21 billion in February

The National Travel and Tourism Office today announced that international visitors spent $21.1 billion in January and $21.0 billion in February on travel to, and tourism-related activities within, the United States setting a new record for U.S. travel and tourism exports. International visitors spend more in January and February than ever before.

MIA celebrates inaugural Miami-Reykjavik flight by WOW air

On April 6, Miami International Airport (MIA) and WOW air celebrated the launch of first-ever Miami-Reykjavík passenger service by the low-cost transatlantic airline, which also made Miami its sixth U.S. destination and first in the southeast U.S. Additionally, the route launch marked MIA’s fourth Nordic destination, 23rd European route, and ninth low-cost carrier.

ITB Berlin 2017: Positive economic forecasts give the global travel industry a boost

The 51st. edition of ITB Berlin (March 8-12) once again underlined the importance and power of the global travel industry. More than 10,000 exhibiting companies from 184 countries and regions displayed their products and services to some 109,000 trade visitors. Two-thirds of trade visitors said they were directly authorized to buy travel products.
