American Airlines launches customer flights aboard newest fleet type

American Airlines introduced customers to its new Airbus A321neo today, welcoming its newest aircraft into the youngest fleet among U.S. network airlines. The first flight was American Flight 682 from Phoenix (PHX) to Orlando, Florida (MCO). Other routes will be added this year as additional A321neos join the fleet.

American Airlines and British Airways to unify operations at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport

American Airlines, British Airways, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced future plans to co-locate in 2022 their operations in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). American and British Airways will invest $344 million in Terminal 8 over the next three years.

SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. appoints Gustavo Antorcha as Chief Executive Officer

(NYSE: SEAS) today announced that it has appointed Gustavo (Gus) Antorcha as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors, effective February 18, 2019.  John T. Reilly, who has served as Interim CEO during the CEO search process, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer.

Greater Fort Lauderdale CVB welcomes Gabriel Martinez to tourism sales team

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) announced last week the appointment of Gabriel E. Martinez to the Tourism Sales Team as the new Senior Manager of International Tourism Sales. In his new role, he will be overseeing the development of the international market. Most recently, Martinez served as Senior Manager of International Sales and Marketing at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment for six years.
